CELLULOSE

CELLULOSE
  - Having β (1->4) glycosidic linkage with β-D-glucose
- arranged in parallel and form micelle and 20 micelle form 1 microfibril and 250 microfibril form 1 macrofibril
- Convert in free fatty acid
- Luminococcus on lumen animal (bacteria)
- Tricholymph in termite help in cutting wood
@ Other Homopolysaccheride
1, Agar :-

     Galactose (D & L) and some are esterified with sulphuric acid also called galactan, collect from seed weed
2, Inulin ;-( From fructose )
          β-D fructose unit interlinked with β(2->1) glycosidic bond
Source = Inulin (dalia)
@ Heteropolysaccheride :-
1) Pectin :-

     We observed that taste of fruit juice became sour when left for some time this is due to this
2) Chitin :-
   - It form exoskeleton of curstacean and fungal cell wall
- N-acetyl glucosomine + N-acetyl glucosamime with β (1->4) linkage
@ Acidic Polysaccheride :-
   1. Hyaluronic acid :-

          -  Present In granular cell
- α-glucouronic acid+ N-acetyl glucoamine with β(1->4) linkage
2. Gynovial fluids :-   - Found in cerebro spinal fluid, between joint,
-In viterous humour of eye
3. Heparin :-
      Anticoagulated, secreted by liver
- sulphated glucosamine + sulphated glucouronic acid with α (1->4) linkage
- 6th position attach with 2nd position
