COELENTRATA

COELENTRATA

# These phylum also called "Cnidaria"
# these animal having calcarious exoskeleton
#all coelentrata are aquatic, mostly Marine
#body has single opening hypostome surrounding by tentacle
#respiration and excretion by simple diffusion
# generally reproduce by budding via asexual reproduction
# tissue level of organisation
# These animal are acoelomate animal
# There larva called "Planula larva"
# Having Incomplete gut system
# incomplete gut
# nervous system diffused
# those are diploblastic animal
# No locomotary organ
# No head present
# There body form may be polyp and medusa

Type

# organization is tissue grade
#symmetry is radial
# germ layer are two named as
1.) Endoderm
2.) Ectoderm
# body wall :
     Outer= epidermis
    Inner= gastrodermis
# body cavity called coelenteron
# body form: solitary, colonial etc
# nutrition = carnivour and holozoic nutrition
# respiration = aerobic & ammonotelic
# reproduction = both Asexual by budding & sexual by medusae , which produce gametes

ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE:

1.) Study of biological phenomenon
2.) Nutritional importance
3.) Ornamental importance
4.) Reef & coral formation
