- the common of cyclostamata animal are round mouthed eels , round mouth with eel like body

- Body divided into head , truck and tail
- Having only single median fin
- Having slimy and scaleless skin
- Whole body of these animal are completely cartilagenous type
- Digestive system is complete
- Alimentary canal is straight
- Having 6-14 pair of internal gill
- 2 Chambered heart present
- Excretory organ is kidney
- Sexes may be hermaphrodite or bisexual
